Forum topic: Accounts ready soon

I've been putting together much of the account section lately. You will soon be able to register your own account where you'll be able to create a profile, upload comics, and eventually share your programming skills. It will be awesome!

Oh, and there's no new comic today, sorry. I haven't had time to make one. But fear not, I'll upload one tomorrow instead!

I've thought about posting songs but music files are usually quite big compared to image files. Hmm... I haven't decided yet. There will be a forum at some point but not in the nearest future. That one will surely take a long time to complete. And by a wall you mean that users can leave comments on your profile, right? Yeah, that will be possible. All users will also have their own blog, like on Newgrounds.

Isn't it possible to set a song upload limit? Such as like 25mb per person? Or 10mb even? That way people could still upload it, but then they would have to take down their less-favorable pieces, but then if an admin approved the song of being good, it could go in like some music archive? Something like that?

Well, I have 10 GB at my disposal which will last like forever if I only store images. If each song is about 10 MB big there will be enough room almost for 1000 songs. It sounds like a lot, but when people start to register and upload songs it will get depleted just like that.

Anyway, your idea isn't bad at all: limiting the storage for songs per account to e.g. 25 MB and archiving the good songs. In fact, I think I'll do that.

Now I'm psyched!
